MRS. SHEALY!!!

SO big changes since i last posted. super busy with dental assisting school, which is why i haven't been updating like i've wanted to. all i dream about anymore is teeth (eek!) but i know it will pay off in the near future.

alsooooo I GOT MARRIED!!!!

jason's my best friend, my soulmate and my hero. never imagined i'd be married to a guy in the army but i think i'm strong enough to handle it. many people can't deal with their significant other being away from them for months while putting their life on the line and fighting for the country, but that's one of the things about jason that i love the most. he is so protective over EVERYONE in his life. he is the bravest person i have ever met and we have already made it through a deployment while we were dating. to make matters worse, i have to live 2200 miles away from my husband until i finish school in august. but i know we can do it. i only get him for 2 weeks around christmas so i'm counting down the days until that happens (which is a little less than 15 now). and he's giving me the bestest christmas present EVER!!! my gorgeous ring :D

now on to a late night of studying for HELL WEEK at school. 5 finals and a certification all in one week. it's midnight and my day's about to get even longer...

july favorites!

ok sooo here's a list of things i've been totally obsessed with this month. no pics cuz i'm too lazy to do it with my phone (at least i'll admit it).

-opi polish in: silver shatter over skulls&glossbones, in my back pocket, shorts story, bright lights big color, and ink
-opi nail envy. my nails are SOOO strong now and grow super fast. i have to trim them every week.
-pureology smoothing shampoo&conditioner
-pureology hydrating hair masque
-orofluido hair oil
-chi 1" flat iron (of course)
-bath and body works secret wonderland lotion and coconut passionfruit body wash
-yankee candle's banana cream pie (smells JUST like banana pudding) and cottage breeze (makes me think of sitting on my front porch when i was a kid during the summer)
-mac eyeshadow in freshwater. super bright blue and stands out great on dark skin. great nighttime shade.
-mac pigments in dark soul, violet and fuchsia
-burt's bees super shiny natural lip gloss in sweet pink. goes on extra smooth and is the LEAST sticky lipgloss i have ever used. goes on extremely sheer with a tiny hint of shimmer

and of course jason :D hehehe

back on track.

so things the past few weeks or so have been GREAT. back in school, making new friends, having fun. tons of lake days and camping...and best of all, jason and i are somewhat *unofficially* back on. still planning on moving to colorado after school next year. birthday present this year is plane tickets to go visit again for the weekend and he's coming home for december. hope things work this time.

army got rid of berets as of today, which i'm sure he's happy about. plus the pc looks a hell of alot sexier...mmm...hahaha

OHHH and one of the best things that's happened lately: got a TON of stuff from Rue21 for super cheap. like this dress for $8.

this is gonna be a good summer.

this month has been an interesting one. at trade secret again and loving it. all of my coworkers are so awesome! we just started doing feather extensions and i'm definitely obsessed. had 8 clients get em done in the past 2 days! also getting my hair cut and dyed this week sometime. ready for a change.

ohhh...and guess who's in town?

my bookie boo!!! he messed up big time back in april so we've just been trying to be friends again. i don't think that's gonna happen though. we had a long talk the other day and nothing has been cleared up, all we know is that we miss the hell out of each other. he says he wants to "get a friend back" but we can't even be around each other without at least holding hands or him kissing my forehead. he's taking me to the zoo tomorrow and out for ice cream and i'm so happy. he has to go back to colorado on saturday but i know i will be flying back out there soon. i shall remain hopeful...

also, i've been OBSESSED with opi's shatter!!!

i did black shatter over do you lilac it? and love it. i also have the silver shatter...will post pics of it tomorrow when i can get to better lighting. personally i recommend using the silver over a dark color so it will show up better. i have the silver over a sparkly blue shade [i forgot the name] and it's not very noticeable. the black will show up great over any light or bright color. will have more reviews of other opi shades coming soon since i've been changing my nails every few days lately thanks to chipping caused by work.

BUSY!

wow...haven't posted in quite a while. been SUPER busy with life i guess. well jason and i broke up. i really hate that it had to come to that but each day will be better than the next. hit a rough patch in school. my instructor and classmates are basically insane. i thought school was supposed to BUILD your confidence on your skills, not make you doubt them. i can take criticism pretty well...but instead of my instructor telling me what to do differently, she only points out what i do wrong and it makes me second guess myself constantly. kinda makes me wonder if i should go back to dental assisting. and my bmw.

on a bright side, trade secret called me back about 45 minutes ago wanting to set up an interview on wednesday. which would be INSANE if i got hired again. it was the job i kept the longest and liked the most so we shall see *fingers crossed*

yesterday was my first day of cosmetology school and all i can say is I'M IN LOVE! kenneth shuler is the most amazing school i have ever attended and i am so glad i made the decision to invest in this path. started out today doing a shampoo/condition, blow dry and style and this is what i came up with

was going for a kinda 40s look with loose curls...could've been ALOT better if i didn't have to rush at the end and if the curling iron would've been good quality instead of some crappy 80s helen of troy haha. today we started studying color and did a dinky bs rinse that wasn't even worthy of taking a pic sooo that won't be put up here.

on another note, talked to jason for FOREVER today. hearing his voice always cheers me up. COME ON, who couldn't love this face!?

silly bookie :P aaand after waiting 8 MONTHS he finally said i love you [yay!!!]. this is one time that me forcing myself to be patient paid off. also talked about marriage [!!!] and he said he might want to do it BEFORE i graduate. i swear i love everything about this guy. i've never had someone to give me butterflies every time we talk on the phone. he tells me i'm beautiful instead of hot and even rubs my feet for me without me having to ask haha. he's the bees knees!

anyways...done rambling about that...now it's beddy bye time for me. i'm DRAINED and have another long day ahead of me tomorrow!

start cosmetology school tomorrow...SUPER excited!!! and nervous as all get out. get my kit in 2 weeks, can't wait to post pics. it's gonna be like christmas all over again!
